8 - 10.30PM at Artista, 42 Waterloo Street, Brighton, BN3 1AY

The Artista Café & Gallery, a cute little café/bar based just off the seafront in Hove, was recently voted Best Fringe Venue - probably because it’s much cozier than most comedy clubs. As well as hosting regular exhibitions and artist nights, the venue is the home of The Top Secret Comedy Club!

Every Friday and Saturday night, secrecy is the name of the game; book your tickets well in advance because this is where the big names of stage and screen come when they’re in Brighton. HOWEVER, the club only releases the names of the comics on their Instagram page on the day of the performance - exciting!

Tickets start at £5 and you can book them here

Staying with Artista for now, every Tuesday from 8PM you’ll get the chance to see budding comedians live or die (or ‘bomb’, as they say in the biz), with up to 15 comedians getting a 5 min slot to try out their best new material - you can even have a go yourself if you fancy your chances, plus occasionally TV comics and top names pop in to test stuff out.

Inclusive and friendly, this is also where they find acts for paid gigs on the weekends and for Brighton Fringe Festival!

You can buy tickets (from £5) in advance here or get them on the door if you’re lucky!
