Brighton Early Music Festival 2025

10 October 2025 to 26 October 2025 Various Locations

A celebration of all music pre-industrial, BREMF returns with another city-wide jamboree inviting your attention to the wealthy world of Early music.

The Brighton Early Music Festival (BREMF) is an annual celebration of historical music, blending classical, folk, and world traditions from the medieval era to the early 1800s. Through concerts, workshops, and educational events across Brighton and Hove, BREMF champions historically informed performance, reviving the sounds composers originally envisioned, played on period instruments by specialist musicians.

Held across the city, BREMF brings its performances to life in some of the city's most unique spaces, with up to 15 different venues each year, this year including seven churches, and discovering these hidden gems is all part of the BREMF experience.

BREMF enriches Brighton and Hove's arts scene year-round with choral concerts, workshops, and educational initiatives. Their flagship Festival, held in late October and early November, is renowned for its dynamic programming, blending early music with cross-disciplinary art forms and innovative performances that redefine traditional expectations.
