A celebration of all things psychedelic, the multi-venue, cross-city festival sees a few big names and a lot of smaller names bring the psych vibes to the South coast for a busy bank holiday weekend.
Brighton Psych Fest has unveiled its second wave of artists for the 2025 festival, set to take place on Friday, 29th August across multiple iconic Brighton venues. These include Concorde 2, The Hope & Ruin, Green Door Store, Komedia, The Prince Albert, with additional locations still to be announced.
Organised by JOY Concerts (the team behind Manchester Psych Fest) the festival returns for its second year with an expanded lineup. Leading the new additions is Gruff Rhys (of Super Furry Animals), bringing his neo-psychedelic sound, alongside Jane Weaver, a celebrated shoegaze and conceptual-pop artist. The bill also features the energetic Dutch ensemble YIN YIN, the raucous horn-driven Opus Kink, and genre-defying Bristol duo Getdown Services.
Further acts include Montreal’s art-punk collective La Sécurité, the psych-rock fusion of Mandrake Handshake, eclectic five-piece RabbitFoot, Manchester post-punk outfit Pyncher, and Brighton’s own Goodbye.
This year’s festival promises a diverse mix of psychedelic rock, post-punk, experimental pop, and funk across Brighton’s best indie venues. Following a successful debut in 2024, the event continues to establish itself as a key date in the UK’s psych music scene.
Tickets are expected to sell quickly, with early booking advised for those looking to experience this immersive day of boundary-pushing music. More acts and venues may still be announced as the event approaches.
For fans of alternative and psychedelic sounds, Brighton Psych Fest 2025 offers a must-see lineup in one of the UK’s most vibrant musical cities. Keep an eye out for further updates as the festival takes shape.
