Gaylien Presents! Human Things…

Humans things are bizarre. This evening of presentations should hopefully shed some light.

A pop art pastel purple poster advertising Gaylien de Mars' Human Things... a fundraiser LGBTQ+ friendly performance. Image includes text 'AND THAT's HOW BABIES ARE MADE' 'WOW! THAT'S DISGUSTING' in pop art text bubbles. To the right is a purple person in a lime green dress and shiny purple gloves holding a phone designed to look like an open mouth with gemstone teeth. There's some sort of bizarre drag performance illustrating the text on a cartoon whiteboard in the background.

Humans, am I right? We make no sense. As an alien, Gaylien de Mars often finds themselves confused by our silly rituals, our hyperfixations, our weird tendencies.

Why is it illegal to put the milk in first? Why do our ears never stop growing? Why is it so scary when someone faces the wrong way in a lift? Why is the 6am pint acceptable at the airport, and why do I look forward to it?

Luckily for us, Gaylien has sought far and wide for the answers to questions such as these (but not those specifically, those are my own, private queries) and has organised a series of informative presentations on various human topics in the spirit of education.

Audience participation is highly encouraged, though there is a designated ‘Don’t f*ck with me' corner if the thought terrifies you. There's Q&A's, audience presentation competitions, and even a raffle!

Pay what you want - but be aware this is a fundraiser, with a portion covering travel costs but the rest going toward Gaylien's loved one's dental care (fair enough - it's next to impossible to find a practice that accepts NHS patients around here!)
