Italian Opera Night at the Paganini Room
Celebrate Brighton Italian Festival with a landmark night of opera in the historic Paganini Room.

The oldest hotel in Brighton, The Old Ship, is home to the Paganini Ballroom (formerly The Assembly Rooms) - where in 1831, violin virtuoso Niccolo Paganini performed to a crowd of 260 people for a fee of 10 shillings each.
Now, it shall host an opera concert for the first time ever, in celebration of Brighton Italian Festival, presented by renowned conductor and producer Simon Gray.
Experience a gripping evening of Verdi, Puccini, Rossini, and more, performed by a cast of fabulously talented singers, with captivating introductions by Simon Gray to heighten your understanding of each piece.
Whether you’re new to this magical genre or a bonafide operatic fanatic, this intimate, historical evening is sure to amaze.
