Brighton Dome kicks off their collaboration with JSU with the first of their Jazz Connections shows featuring Mark Kavuma, Jazz FM’s 2025 Instrumentalist of the Year.
There's an exciting new music venture at Brighton Dome this autumn; Jazz Connections is a new slot in the Studio Theatre repertoire, showcasing leading UK musicians and up-and-coming voices that you don't want to miss.
As evidenced by his recent win as Jazz FM's 2025 Instrumentalist of the year, Mark Kavuma is an exceptional and multifaceted trumpeter, bandleader, composer and teacher. We have the pleasure of seeing him in concert at Brighton Dome on the evening of Saturday 20th September, where the Mark Kavuma Quartet will perform pieces from across all six of his captivating albums. Backed by Artie Zaitz on guitar, Jason Brown on drums, and Jack Garside on bass, expect a phenomenal night of British nu-jazz.
