Make new friends over dinner while supporting locally owned businesses!
Featured in Eventbrite's 2025 TRNDS report, this micro-event (new word alert!) has gathered press coverage in the US, and now it's coming overseas, hitting Brighton's shorelines.
Essentially, you sign up, they book the reservation at a rotating selection of locally owned restaurants, and you ‘spontaneously’ share a meal with strangers.
It's Sort of like Come Dine With Me but the food is guaranteed to be good and you don't have to do any cooking. Oh, and there's no prize money and you're likely discouraged to vote on your dinner companions.
Buuut, you may come away with new local friends for life, or at least an interesting story or two.
