The Coast is Queer
The UK's biggest and brightest LGBTQ+ literature festival at the Attenborough Centre for Creative Arts.
Established in 2019, The Coast is Queer is an absolutely jam-packed festival celebrating LGBTQ+ literature, bringing together queer authors, readers and allies through a weekend of workshops and conversations, championing the stories and story-tellers giving voice to our community.
Frankly, the itinerary is just phenomenal - from dissecting the power of zines, contemplating the power of memory, truth and fiction in memoir, to conscientiously exploring contemporary issues around the ongoing suppression of LGBTQ+ stories worldwide. The Coast is Queer is a valuable and rich commemoration of the power of queer community, documentation and representation.
