The NightFair Before Christmas

With Christmas around the corner in a city known as a haven for alternative subculture, you might be looking for a market offering something a little unconventional.

You may remember it from the 90's: whimsigoth is back in fashion - that's whimsical gothic for those of you who aren't chronically online - and chances are you've a special someone that's a little witchy to shop for this holiday season. 

Boasting everything from entomology (that's the study of insects!) and taxidermy (scary!) to crystals and plushies, The NightFair Before Christmas is a haven of gorgeous but offbeat treasures. 

Organised by Selina Grazia, an internationally exhibited artist who combines her scientific background with her artistic flair, she's queen of her own technique achieved through years of honed experimentation - gilding real insects (this is where the entomology comes in). 

It's so unique and super goth - not for everyone, but I'll bet that her beautiful gold framed spider webs and taxidermised beetle dioramas are literally the perfect gift for right kind of person.
