Voices of Power - Black History Month Concert
Experience a phenomenal afternoon of music, poetry, drama, food and community.

Hove Methodist Church is gathering the community to host a special afternoon in celebration of Black History Month.
The Voices of Power concert will feature gospel and choral harmonies from Harps Choral UK, soulful acoustic sounds from Isaac Jengwa, a performance from playwright and National Canal Poet Laureate, Roy McFarlane, and jazz by Jazz Like That.
After the concert, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy authentic Ghanaian cuisine and get involved with the Culture Connect Project, who are providing bead making workshops and traditional garments, with proceeds supporting orphans in Ghana.
There will also be stalls from BARCO (Brighton’s Black Anti-Racism Community Organisation) and Afrori Books - Brighton’s only Black-owned bookstore.
Come together in solidarity and pride to celebrate Black history, culture and heritage in a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all attendees.
