The Comedy Rooms

Global House, Portland Square, Worthing, BN11 1QH

The Comedy Rooms is a true labour of love, run by a small team with a big passion for live comedy and a commitment to making every night unforgettable.  They work hard behind the scenes to bring laughter and joy to the whole community. It's not a big operation, but it's one built on heart, enthusiasm, and a shared love for the craft.

Run by Adam Scott who started out by bringing TV comedians to local pubs (Cow & Oak, John Selden, The Goose) before taking over a space in Worthing in March 2023 with a capacity of 300 seats. He then moved to Petworth expanding out to the Leconfield Hall and then providing a more intimate venue in Billingshurst. As of February 2026, The Comedy Rooms found their new home at Global House, Portland Square, Worthing.

Manic Mugday

10 Ship Street, Brighton, East Sussex BN1 1AD

Monday is the new Friday. Manic Mugday is at The Walrus and things are getting bonkers. A motley bunch of comedians. One Mug. Pure chaos. The fate of our comedians rests entirely on:

Your ability to make noise.
A rubbish decibel meter bought off Temu.
Questionable permission from Al Murray to use his cardboard Cutout.

It’s Brighton’s #1 Monday night cult phenomenon. It’s non-profit, high-stakes, and £4 cheaper than a Guinness. A mush of pro-acts, amateurs, and absolute carnage. An absolutely brilliant, crazy, fun night out!!
