Forge Comedy Club @ Ironworks Studios
“Probably the best Comedy Club in Brighton, if not the UK” (Romesh Ranganathan).
Forge Comedy club was established in late 2021, by Brighton comedian and repeat winner of the Best Compere Chortle Award, Stephen Grant, following a 23 year residency at Krater Comedy Club - winner of Best Comedy venue in the South a record 18 times.
Awarded Brighton’s No.1 Comedy Club by Tripadvisor Traveller’s Choice Award 2023, Best Comedy Venue 2024 and Best Pro Comedy Night 2023 by Chortle, Forge Comedy Club certainly lives up to expectations.
Featuring stars such as Romesh Ranganathan, Russell Kane, Sara Pascoe, Stephen K Amos, Zoe Lyons, Marcus Brigstocke, Jen Brister, Alan Carr, Maisie Adam, Joel Dommett, Milton Jones, Suzi Ruffell, John Bishop, Mo Gilligan and many more, it’s a key player in the UK comedy scene.
Forge is at the heart of Ironworks Studios (pun intended), which was transformed from an office block to a state-of-the-art purpose built multi-media venue by Paul Kemp, MD of Brighton and Hove Pride, launching in July 2021.
The venue operates under a community fundraising objective, successfully raising money for The Clock Tower Sanctuary, the International Rescue committee, and the Brighton Rainbow Fund, among many others.
With two performance spaces, flexible seating with a capacity of 180, high-spec streaming and recording facilities, it’s not only a great venue for live comedy, but fantastic for digital, too.
Furthermore, Stephen Grant continues to uphold his commitment to the local comedy scene, hosting regular comedy masterclasses and workshops, nurturing the next generation of British comedians, right here.
