The Mount Without

See Romeo and Juliet @ The Mount Without

When did you last see the 1996 Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet on the big screen? I'd wager it's been a while! Screening in the epic former 15th Century church The Mount Without @themountwithout_events the famous tragedy is well worth the trip on its own - but this venue really does impress. Make sure to get there early for a relaxed drink in the crypt below!

Where? The Mount Without, Upper Church Lane, St Michael's Hill, Bristol, BS28FN.

When? Saturday, 11 February 2023.

See Yinka Shonibare at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery

Artist Yinka Shonibare's stunning show at the Bristol Museum & Art Gallery End of Empire intervention is something out of the ordinary. Taking on the theme of duelling forces in the First World War, Shonibare's artwork involves two formally dressed human bodies (in 19th-century Nigerian fabrics) with globes for heads on opposite ends of a large seesaw? Thought you'd seen it all? Well, you haven't!

Where? Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, Queens Rd, Bristol, BS8 1RL.

When? 6 February—2 April 2023.
