Monkey World - Ape Rescue Centre, located near Wareham in Dorset, offers an enriching and fun-filled experience for visitors of all ages. The 65-acre sanctuary is home to over 250 primates across 20 species, many of whom have been rescued from illegal smuggling, neglect, or abuse. The centre provides a safe haven for these animals and participates in international breeding programs for endangered species. Visitors can enjoy half-hourly Keeper Talks to learn about the different primates' personalities and the important conservation work being done at the park. The park also offers sensory statues and immersive exhibits to enhance the experience.

.The adventure playgrounds at Monkey World are particularly exciting for families. The Great Ape Play Area, the largest of its kind in the region, features climbing frames, cargo nets, swings, and slides designed to keep kids entertained while encouraging physical activity. There are two additional play areas spread across the park to ensure children have ample opportunities to "monkey around," and wheelchair-accessible swings are also available, making the playgrounds inclusive for everyone.

Visitors can bring their own picnics or enjoy food from on-site eateries Treetops Cafe and Malagasy, as well as several kiosks offering ice cream and hot and cold drinks. If you're interested in supporting the centre's efforts, consider adopting a primate, which grants you free entry for a year. Monkey World combines conservation, education, and fun, making it a memorable day out for all!
