Pubs and Cafes with Games in Brighton

9 March 2019 |

Brighton is well known for being a city of fun - from its fairground Pier to big events, the beach, and all manner of cool hang-outs. If you like to play games, head to one of our favourite ludic locations in Brighton, where everyone's a winner...

Dice Saloon
This relaxed (but competitive!) environment boasts 2000 square foot of space dedicated to all forms of tabletop games. Board games, card games, war games, role-playing games – and a café, on top of all that!

Unit 6, Longley Industrial Estate, New England Street, Brighton BN1 4GY

Loading Bar
As well as the Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, SNES Mini and 60-odd board games, gamers will love loading up on themed cocktails (like Assassins Mead!) at this completely game-centric establishment. All games are FREE to play, as long as you’re a paying customer of the bar.

Islingword Pub
This lovely pub has a cupboard stacked with board games that punters can help themselves to if they fancy a rumble on the board, while they’re on the booze… Also a great place to watch games of the rugby variety (namely the 6 Nations) on telly.

175 Queens Park Road, Brighton BN2 9ZA

Games Workshop
Renowned for facilitating some serious game-play, the Brighton branch of Games Workshop is fun for all the family – despite some occasional blood and gore (in model form, we trust!!) this is suitable for kids too. You can also pick up model design supplies to keep upping your World of Warcraft game...

Caroline of Brunswick
A super-friendly pub with various board games available – from chess to Buckaroo – as well as a pool table (playn for just a quid!) and weekly karaoke. They’ve fallen prey to some loss of pieces of the years, so invite people to bring their own board games too.

With comedy, drag, Brighton Fringe shows, Edinburgh Fringe previews, science seminars, film screenings and discussions adding to the entertainment, there’s something for everyone at the Caroline – located just near the new skate park, so you can enjoy some outdoor games nearby too!

9 Ditchling Road, Brighton BN1 4SB
