See in the New Year in Brighton!

19 December 2018 |

A renowned party city, there are plenty of reasons why Brighton is the place to see in 2019. Fireworks-lovers will want to wrap up warm and head for the seafront, or – even better – book the British Airways i360 experience (see above) for a front row seat. And for everyone else – here are a few of the best…

Best for Foodies – NYE Dinner at Browns Brighton
Anyone who loves their grub – particularly if you're about to give your favourite bits up for Dry or Veganuary – should consider eating their way into 2019 with this delicious New Year celebration. Browns Brighton have partnered with Veuve Clicquot champagne for a Great Gatsby-inspired evening of ‘20s-style opulence, featuring live jazz and pianist performances.

Swap the “10, 9, 8…” for a culinary countdown, from Devon crab and goat’s cheese canapés, to 28-day aged Sirloin Steak, to fruit and prosecco crumble with ginger ice cream… Mmm…

Best for Party Animals – Gilles Peterson at Concorde 2
The iconic DJ Gilles Peterson brings his eclectic music mix of house, disco, jazz – and whatever else he plucks from his legendary 50,000 strong record collection to Concorde 2 this New Year’s Eve.

Performing a 2-hour set from 11pm until 1am (so that covers those all-important midnight bells!) Gilles will be spinning the finest beats from all four corners of the solar system.

Concorde 2 is located on Madeira Drive, Brighton BN2 1EN

Best for Little Party Animals (and their families) – Tot Rockin’ Beats
Just west of Brighton in Worthing, the kids will be kicking off at Tot Rockin’ Beats, where you can celebrate the New Year at 12pm or 6pm! This party includes soft play, Wannado Streetdancers, Lego, Bee-Fit, interactive VR, circus skills, singalongs and all sorts.

Best for a Laugh – Krater Comedy Club’s NYE
See in the New Year with a smile on your face at the Komedia Club, where you can enjoy a two-course dinner and comedy for £51 (standard show ticket £39). The show finishes at 9.30pm, but the fun doesn’t need to stop there as the Disco Lovers Club takes over until 3am. Tickets are £65 for meal and show plus ‘English Disco Lovers’ club night.

Expect stunning circus performers, awe-inspiring fire breathers and plenty more live entertainment at a night that champions the opulent and debaucherous….

They’re offering several tiers of tickets, some of which include a full-whammy of dinner, cabaret show and after-party until 3am. Dress to impress, leave your inhibitions at home and party like it’s ’19 in a moment’s time!
