Visitors can wander through lush greenery, vibrant flower beds, and peaceful lakes adorned with wildlife (including the resident pelicans!), in a picturesque setting ideal for relaxation and exploration fit for a king. In fact, every year on June 15th the Trooping the Colour celebrations take part in the park to mark the monarch’s official birthday. The Jubilee Walkway runs straight down The Mall from Trafalgar Square to Buckingham Palace, but the walkways that meander through the park are truly sublime.

One of the park's notable landmarks is Duck Island Cottage, a charming structure erected in 1840-1 to house the offices of those who look after the park, set amidst its curated natural splendour. The iconic Blue Bridge offers panoramic views over the central lake (as far as the London Eye), where over 15 species of waterfowl and a diverse array of birdlife can be observed. It’s a great spot for a picnic or a laze in the sunshine (in an absolutely perfect spot for tourists soaking up the city’s rich history and culture) as you can even hire a deckchair by the hour.
