There is so much to see at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter however this isn’t a theme park experience, there are no rides – but it is packed with movie magic. From walking through the breathtaking sets like the Great Hall, to exploring Diagon Alley, boarding the original Hogwarts Express at Platform 9 ¾ and stepping into the Forbidden Forest. 

Discover how the special and visual effects teams made Harry and his friends fly and learn how magical creatures were brought to life on screen. The effects used for the dragon encounter in the vault of the Gringotts Bank are mind-blowing. And the amazing the art department responsible for designing and creating thousands of props that helped to bring the visual world of Harry Potter to life on screen. 

Marvel at the potions class of Professor Snape where over 950 jars line the walls of the classroom. Professor Dumbledore’s office, equally mesmerising with over 900 memory vials placed and Gryffindor’s common room and bedroom covered with such intricate detailing. Discover the artistry in the hundreds of costumes on display including Hermione’s iconic Yule Ball gown made of yards of pink silk and 12 metres of chiffon, layered to form a beautiful, romantic gown and of course the iconic Hogwarts uniforms.

What is the best time to visit Warner Bros Studio?

The studio is open all year round (times vary throughout the year) but there are lesser crowds during the winter months (November to March). Weekends and school holidays are the busiest, but the staff manage the flow well. If you prefer fewer crowds, aim for a weekday during term time.

How much does it cost to go to Harry Potter Studio in London?

This is an immensely popular activity in London so you must book tickets in advance. They get sold out quickly. Studio tour tickets are available from £56 pp. Under 4s go free. There are also ticket packages for families.

How to get to the Warner Bros. Studios

Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, Leavesden WD25 7LR

By car: As you approach the Studio Tour, brown traffic signs labelled “Warner Bros. Studio Tour” will help direct you to the entrance. (From London, exit the M1 at Junction 5 and then take the A41 (North Watford) for about 3 miles. 

By Train: The Studio Tour’s nearest railway station is Watford Junction and direct services arrive there from both London Euston (20 minute journey) and Birmingham New Street (1 hour journey).

Shuttle Bus from Watford Junction: This is included as part of your entry ticket. Regular shuttle buses operate from Watford Junction to the Studio Tour with a journey time of around 15 minutes.

Parking

Parking is provided free of charge in the car park directly outside the Studio Tour. A number of blue disability badge parking bays are available close to the main entrance.

Priority Parking is located next to the Studio Tour entrance and is available to purchase online with your Studio Tour tickets for an additional £10.

Accessibility

The studio offers Adapted Experiences on select mornings for visitors with autism and related conditions, with reduced noise, lighting, and lower visitor numbers. These are also priced from £56 and offer a more relaxed environment.
