Edinburgh Fringe hit 16 Postcodes returns to London for a limited run at the Museum of Comedy.
Following a critically-acclaimed, sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe last summer and a stellar set of performances at London’s Pleasance Theatre, 16 Postcodes is coming to the Museum of Comedy for two exclusive shows this June and July. Described by Lyn Gardner as a born storyteller, Jessica Regan (The Guilty Feminist, BBC, Channel 4) shares personal stories from her two decades living in London, offering a candid and funny look at what it means to build a life in a city that is constantly changing. Told with warmth, wit and openness, 16 Postcodes invites audiences to reflect on their own definitions of home and how the places we live shape who we become.
Twenty years, 16 postcodes, one city. In 2018, Jessica Regan added up all the places she had lived in London and realised it was 16. During the pandemic, stuck in the city and feeling disillusioned, she began walking her neighbourhood and thinking back on each home: the council flat, the west London period conversion, friends’ sofa beds, the green of Greenwich and the grey of Acton. Each postcode represented a different chapter—some marked by struggle, others by adventure or unexpected joy.
This is a journey through an impenetrable city with an all-too-open heart. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you’ll rent cos you can't afford to buy...
