Iconic modern dance producer and DJ plays a rare daytime set at Night Tales, bringing his signature groove to the terraces of Hackney.
Formerly known as Motor City Drum Ensemble, Danilo Plessow has in a short while become one of the biggest names in dance, with his name bumped to headliner at every festival he plays. His fabric mix a few years back was generational, bringing through all of his influences and favourites into one gorgeous, gorgeous mix, that may be more popular than his own work in some circles. He's a clear-cut lover of all music, and there are few people in this country worth listening to their back catalogue than Plessow himself.
Usually seen as dark, damp, industrial venues, befitting for an artist with Motor City in their name, but now at Night Tales, you get to see him during the day. Expect some lighter mixes, maybe some bubbly tracks from his favourites The Other People Place, maybe some funk, who knows. But for seven quid, it is very much worth finding out.
