Bloomsbury Festival
Celebrating creativity in Bloomsbury.

Bloomsbury’s annual festival of theatre, music, art, literature, science and family events takes place from 17 – 19 October across Bloomsbury and Camden’s streets, parks, museums and galleries in a celebration of local community and culture. Events are free and ticketed with prices between £3 and £25.
The 2025 Festival theme - The Paths We Tread - is inspired by stories about the history of Bloomsbury’s local streets, and has provided a very broad range of interpretations for the wider programme, where artists are following their own personal and cultural ‘paths’.
The 2025 weekend festival brings together a lively programme with a focus on New Wave talent, showcasing artists, musicians and theatre-makers emerging into their professional careers – some of the leading new creative talent around!
The weekend also features an intriguing selection of heritage-related walks, music and art events focussed on the street songs of past centuries in the St Giles, Seven Dials and Bloomsbury areas. These events are part of Strange Doings in London – The Songs and Ballads of St Giles - a National Lottery Heritage Fund supported project bringing together local communities and choirs through the history of ballad, song, news-sheets and illustrations.
This runs alongside a programme of curated partner events from regulars such as Conway Hall, the Foundling Museum and Swedenborg House.
Explore over 50 events across the weekend at venues throughout Bloomsbury, including Festival hubs at Holy Cross Church (hosting free exhibitions, concerts and talks), Conway Hall, City Lit and Holborn Library
