On Friday 19th September, Ninety One welcomes Ivor Novello-winning pianist and composer Charlie Stacey, one of the UK’s most gifted and versatile jazz keys players, for a special solo performance.
A Tomorrow’s Warriors alumnus, Stacey has built a formidable reputation through his work on recordings by Yussef Dayes, Dargz, and BLK ODYSSY, as well as electrifying live performances alongside some of the most exciting names in contemporary jazz. His improvisational fluency and ability to glide between genres, from spiritual jazz and broken beat to neo-soul to Afrobeat, mark him as a uniquely advanced and expressive artist.
For this intimate show, Stacey will present new material from his forthcoming album, alongside selections from his acclaimed EP The Light Beyond Time, reimagined with a new ensemble.
