Continuity

19 November 2025 to 22 November 2025 The Cockpit

Who wants to live forever? And how much will it cost?

The satirical play Continuity, tells an uncomfortably story about the ever-increasing power of billionaires, performs at the Cockpit Theatre in London between the 19th and 22nd November 2025.

How far would you go to stop the ever-increasing global power of a billionaire elite? And would you even think about murder? David Sear’s scorching new play, Continuity, satirically examines what happens when they own 60% of the world’s wealth, and they own YOU.

It is 2032, and a billionaire (who may resemble Elon Musk…) has control of new biotech with the power to extend human life, human continuity. More than that it can repair damaged cells and offer the wheelchair-bound protagonist of the play, Stevie, a way back from a life-threatening car accident. Enter ‘Y’, a newly minted billionaire eager to take his seat at the top table with Bill, Jeff, Mark, and of course Elon… But he needs Stevie, he needs patient ‘7’.

Continuity is a dark comic tale about humanity’s yearning for immortality – and what happens when technology and vast wealth manipulate the very essence of what makes us human. In a world where the pace of change is unprecedented and our ability to adapt to that change is struggling to evolve, Continuity asks the existential question:

‘What is the value of my continued existence? And, more importantly, can I get a better phone?’.
