Deptford Northern Soul Club - at Village Underground
Our favourite night out in London is back again, this time at the industrial Village Underground. Old school dance records mixed on vinyl, what's not to love?
Bringing the classics of Northern Soul to the new generation, Deptford Northern Soul Club are now the face of the movement in London. Childhood friends Will Foot and Lewis Henderson, whose precocious love of soul developed after discovering Lewis’ Dad’s record collection, have now taken said record collection all around the country, even to Glastonbury.
After a huge show at MOTH Club last month, the duo take their collection across town to Shoreditch's industrial Village Underground. Not quite the glam I'd usually expect from them, but we'll see how they decorate.
