Take your seat and go on journey with English National Ballet.

A journey from the 1940s to now. A journey shaped by four visionary choreographers who have all made a mark on what dance can be.

George Balanchine revolutionised ballet with the speed, precision and dynamism of his steps. His showstopper from 1947, Theme and Variations, still has the wow factor. Think gorgeous tutus, fiendish steps and a big finale.

Martha Graham is one of the greatest artists of the 20th century and yet we rarely see her works in the UK. Expect an intense encounter in her duet Errand into the Maze, which is based on the Greek myth of the Minotaur.

William Forsythe has pushed ballet steps to the limits. How much of a rush can you get from a 12-minute dance piece? Quite a big one, actually!

David Dawson is known for his emotional works. You might need to take a deep breath, tears rising behind your eyes, after seeing his piece Four Last Songs. It’s set to poignant music by Richard Strauss, performed live by soprano Madeleine Pierard and the English National Ballet Philharmonic.
