Discover six millennia of art history alongside today’s leading contemporary artists at Frieze London and Frieze Masters, from 9 - 13 October in London’s Regent's Park.
At Frieze London, explore more than 160 leading international galleries in a re-imagined floorpan and discover Smoke, a new section curated by Pablo José Ramírez, spotlighting ceramics as one of the most impactful aesthetic forms in art. After its 2023 debut, Artist-to-Artist will also return with six solo presentations, selected by world-renowned artists including Lubaina Himid, Rashid Johnson and Yinka Shonibare.
Frieze Masters will welcome over 130 galleries and will introduce a new curatorial approach to encourage creative connections across art history. Following its much-lauded debut in 2023, Studio, curated by Sheena Wagstaff, will return offering visitors a glimpse into the working spaces of Isabella Ducrot, Nathalie Du Pasquier and Shirazeh Houshiary, amongst many others. Led by Valerie Cassel Oliver, Spotlight will alsofeature solo presentations by 20th-century artists, focusing on overlooked artists and lesser-known works by established figures, from the 1950s to the 1970s. Artists featured this year include Judy Chicago, Kulim Kim, Balraj Khanna, Donald Locke, Nabil Nahas, Nil Yalter and more
The Frieze London and Frieze Masters programmes will include special projects and activations, including the return of the Frieze London Artist Award and Frieze Masters Talks, alongside collaborations with key UK arts organisations and public institutions. Frieze Sculpture, curated by Fatoş Üstek for the second year, will run 18 September – 27 October 2024 in The Regent’s Park’s English Gardens.
