After a hugely successful 2024 with an all-star line-up including Earl Sweatshirt and The Alchemist, the organisers of Jazz Cafe come with another festival, still at Burgess Park, with a bigger line-up and more specialised stages.

This time, Masego headlines, his only London show of the summer. Known for his era-defining ‘Tadow’, his signature sax-driven style, high-energy stage presence, and genre-blurring brilliance will see out the festival into sunset.

It was a special day last year for London's musical map, and this year, the Jazz Cafe put in even more elbow grease to curate four stages of artists who share styles and traits to allow for a coherent playlist of acts. The four stages are:

Parkway: The mainstage where Masego will perform; the biggest stage

The Plant Room: A 10-hour marathon of hip-hop, soul, and underground gems for the crate diggers.

Four Corners: A global dancefloor fuelled by boundary-pushing DJs and electrifying rhythms.

The Dome: A South Asian soundscape, curated by Daytimers, celebrating the beats of the diaspora.

As per usual, the line-up isn't a list of the Billboard Top 100. This is an expert curation of London's most important underground and alternative artists. Nabihah Iqbal, now verging on mainstream, closes the dome, and she's preceeded by Aroop Roy, another hugely popular selector amongst London disco and house fans.

Four corners has Juls, Izco, and Guts, three producers known for their international style, influenced by Africa, the Carribean, and South America. Alternative hip-hop also makes up a big portion of the day, with Westside Gunn, his cousin Benny the Butcher, and hugely underrated St Vincent star Skiifall.

For those in the know, it's a very impressive curation, and like last year, I'm sure they will pull it off. We'll see you there!
