Midland is going all day, from 3pm to 9pm, at the courtyard of the Carpet Shop in Peckham, just down the way from Peckham Rye Station.

London-based artist Midland operates at the intersection of production, performance, and curation, someone who loves music so much that he wants to make all of it, and play all of it. His work, spanning original productions, genre-fluid DJ sets, and a trio of influential record labels, reflects a nuanced understanding of dance music’s past, present, and future.

As a producer, Midland’s sonic identity has evolved organically, from early collaborations with Pearson Sound to recent EPs like The Alchemy of Circumstance, yet retains a cohesive aesthetic marked by melodic warmth, rhythmic sophistication, and emotional depth. His label ecosystem, Graded (for personal work), ReGraded (sample-based explorations, including the Mixmag-acclaimed “Final Credits”), and InterGraded (platforming emerging artists), demonstrates his commitment to artistic autonomy and community building. His remixes for artists like Dua Lipa and The Chemical Brothers further illustrate his versatility, and lack of hesitance in broadening his style to popular artists.

Yet it is as a DJ that Midland has arguably made his most profound impact. His sets, whether at Berghain, Fabric, Glastonbury, or during his celebrated all-night residencies, blend British bass-weight with European fluidity, moving seamlessly between house, techno, disco, and beyond. Described by Resident Advisor as a selector with “a perfect record for every moment,” his mixes (including his Essential Mix of the Year and the critically lauded Fabriclive 94) are masterclasses in narrative and momentum.

What distinguishes Midland is his authentic, unforced ascent, an artist still deeply invested in exploring sound, space, and shared experience on the dancefloor. It’s for this reason that, despite his popularity, he will always opt to play at more intimate venues.
