Play Nice: Aziza Kadyri
Multidisciplinary artist Aziza Kadyri presents an exhibition of newly commissioned work at Somerset House.
Multidisciplinary artist and founder of grassroots feminist group Qizlar Collective, Aziza Kadyri, presents a multi-sensory exhibition of newly commissioned work in Somerset House Studios’ G31 project space, open to the public 21 November 2025 - 15 March 2026.
Developed during Somerset House Studios’ 12-month Creative Technologies Fellowship in partnership with UAL Creative Computing Institute, Kadyri's new work continues her ongoing worldbuilding series.
The installation follows the evolving narrative of a trickster figure - the artist’s alter ego - while inviting viewers into a fragmented childhood memory where reality and dream converge. Through scenographic elements, tactile interventions, sound, and open-ended storytelling, the work blurs the line between performer and audience, memory and invention.
The Creative Technologies Fellowship, in partnership with UAL Creative Computing Institute (CCI), offers a unique development and commission opportunity for artists looking to explore the ways in which computational systems can be used as part of a critical practice exploring social or environmental questions.
Commissioned by Somerset House Studios in collaboration with UAL Creative Computing Institute.
