Performing one of the greatest Cuban albums of all time, the 7-piece Sambroso All Stars bring their sol to our favourite London pub garden.
When Ry Cooder did his tour of Cuba, bringing in the whole rainbow of Cuban music, I don't think he or any of the other musicians expected the Buena Vista Social Club legacy to be kicking into 2025. An enduring popular record that showcases the wide, wide variety of the islands music, Buena Vista Social Club made waves upon release that still crash to this day. It won a Grammy for Best Traditional Tropical Latin Album, and it was only one of two non-English-speaking albums to be on Rolling Stones' rather Anglocentric Best 500 albums of all time list.
With most of the original musicians having passed away, Sambroso Noda are filling in to provide the jams, them being the beating heart of London's Cuban community. Every time these guys perform the Buena Vista hits, it's an absolute sheller, and it usually costs a lot more than £14 to see the album performed live.
And at the Fox & Firkin as well, our new favourite spot in town, you'll enjoy the benefits of both an intimate show and a bar that wont demand an organ transplant as payment. Absolutely the place in town to be.
