Hailed as Saltburn meets Schitt’s Creek, Rosie Day’s dark comedy arrives at Theatre Royal Windsor May 13th.
Katy Galloway Productions has announced the cast for Rosie Day’s (This is not a) Happy Room. Declan Baxter joins the previously announced Amanda Abbington, Rosie Day, Andrea Valls, Jazz Jenkins, Tom Kanji, and Alison Liney. Hailed as Saltburn meets Schitt’s Creek, this new, searingly sharp dark comedy, will run at Theatre Royal Windsor for a total of six performances from 13 May to 17 May, following a successful run at the King’s Head Theatre earlier this spring.
Katy Galloway said, “I’m really looking forward to bringing (This is not a) Happy Room to Windsor with such a talented company. It’s great to have Declan joining the cast for this next stage of the production.”
Rosie Day said today, “It’s been amazing to see how audiences have connected with the show during its run at King’s Head. I’m so proud of what we’ve created, and I’m really excited to bring it to Windsor with this brilliant cast. Having the chance to share the story with new audiences in a new space is a real privilege.”
Meet the Hendersons, a happily dysfunctional family, reuniting for their dad’s third (or fourth?) wedding. But nobody expects the death of his bachelorhood to become an actual funeral…It would be a waste of the hotel function room not to repurpose it, right?
