Situated in the heart of London’s Battersea Park, this hidden paradise gives you the opportunity to submerge yourself in nature and learn about a range of species from around the world.

Animal Feeding and Education

With an amazing array of animals including enchanting parrots, cheeky meerkats, bouncing ring tailed lemurs and the endangered Scottish Wildcat. Join the knowledgeable keepers and watch daily animal feeding and educational talks. Including word on important conservation projects.

Newcomers

If you’re lucky you may spot the next generation of these animal families. Recent births have included rare Oxford Sandy and Black piglets, and Asian short-clawed otter pups. These births are one of the many conservation success stories of Battersea Park Zoo. You should also look out for previous arrivals including threatened Kakariki chicks and critically endangered cotton top tamarins, Nellie, Nora, Dora and Diego.

Stop for Lunch

The on-site Lemon Tree Cafe has both an outside and inside seating area to cater for all weathers. The café offers an array of refreshments from delicious snacks to tasty lunches. These include: salads, sandwiches, kids’ lunchboxes, ice-creams and sweets. You’ll also find a selection of soft drinks, Costa coffee and Tea Pig herbal teas.
 

Play Time

The zoo has a brilliant adventure playground suited to children of all ages and abilities. From a helicopter, fire engine and a real life tractor to a climbing web and sandpit. Seating and picnic tables surround the playground areas for grown-ups to have a rest while the little ones burn off some steam.

Animal Encounters and Special Occasions

Check out the zoo’s amazing offering of animal experiences and birthday parties for a more personal experience. These experiences can be either an Animal Encounter or Keeper experience. Animal Encounters can be booked for the likes of the mischievous donkeys and snuffly pigs. Where the keeper experience will give you or a loved-one the chance to meet and care for a variety of species from across the zoo, from armadillo and reptiles to our otters, and pigs! Adopt Your Favourite Resident and Book Tickets

You also have the opportunity to adopt one of your favourite Battersea Park Zoo residents for yourself or a friend/family member. This includes the adopters name displayed on the wall and your very own gift pack complete with a personalised certificate.
