Some of Londonâs most famous and visually stunning locations will be hosting markets throughout December. Starting on the Thames, enjoy a traditional German Christmas Market outside the Tate Modern (19 November - 23 December), where you can shop for Christmas gifts, enjoy a glass of Glühwein, have a go on the Victorian carousel and soak up the magical winter next to iconic locations like Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe and the Millennium Bridge. Further up towards London Bridge you will find Christmas By The River (1 December - January 3), which hosts over 40 independent traders selling gifts, winter-warming drinks and delicious festive food with fantastic views of London Bridge. A little further afield in Hackney is Sutton House Christmas Market (26 November - 18 December), a stunning National Trust Tudor manor house that is hosting a pantomime themed market. Alongside a generous selection of artisan gifts, food and drink, each room has been transformed into a childrenâs story from literature including Hansel and Gretel and Alice in Wonderland.
