Beatrix Potter: Drawn to Nature

The Porter Gallery

Beatrix Potter: Drawn to Nature will tell the complete life story of Beatrix Potter, one of the best loved authors of Children’s fiction in the 20th Century.  This family friendly exhibition will take visitors on a journey to discover Potter’s life as a scientist and conservationist, exploring the places and animals that inspired her most beloved characters. In collaboration with the National Trust.

Fashioning Masculinities: The Art of Menswear

The first major V&A exhibition to celebrate the power, artistry and diversity of masculine attire and appearance, Fashioning Masculinities: The Art of Menswear will trace how menswear has been fashioned and refashioned over the centuries, and how designers, tailors and artists – and their clients and sitters – have constructed and performed masculinity, and unpicked it at the seams.

Make Good: Rethinking Material Futures, supported by the designer and furniture maker John Makepeace OBE is a ten-year project that encompasses an annual display, symposium and programme of acquisitions dedicated to looking at the use of renewable, natural materials and the future of sustainable forestry in connection to design and architecture.

Richard Batterham: Studio Potter

This temporary display showcases the works of the studio potter, Richard Batterham (1936-2021), and presents a unique collection of pots, selected with Richard from his personal archive, tracing his exploration of form and uncompromising dedication to pottery.
