The best places to twerk, fox trot and merengue

There are so many clubs and dance nights in London it can be hard to find the best places to get down and boogie. But do not fret! At London Calling we’ve been shaking our tail feathers on dance floors across the city to uncover the best places to twerk, fox trot and merengue.

The Blues Kitchen

The Blues Kitchen hosts live bands and DJ’s you can dance to throughout the week. Tuesdays is Barrelhouse Blues night where resident musicians bring the house down with their signature Delta blues and Chicago inspired sounds. This night is free so just rock up! Thursdays is Night Train night, where the scorchin’ hot Sierra Band play southern soul and rock’n’roll into the wee hours. They play hits from Aretha Franklin, Etta James, The Rolling Stones, Bobbie Gentry, Tina Turner, Marvin Gaye and more. Night Train nights are also free but get your name on their free guest list first.
