Little Angel Theatre Looks Ahead to its 65th anniversary year with the announcement of Spring/Summer 2026 Season.
As Little Angel Theatre prepares to celebrate 65 years of groundbreaking work for young audiences, the iconic London venue announces a vibrant Spring - Summer 2026 season featuring brand-new work and the return of beloved classics, both at the theatre and on tour.
Since opening its doors in 1961 Little Angel has used puppetry to create and share inspiring stories, igniting the imaginations of the youngest minds. Built on a spirit of artistic innovation, the pioneering venue remains committed 65 years later to pushing the boundaries of what puppetry can be while preserving its heritage. Its intimate spaces offer the ideal first experience of live performance for the very young and a home for bold, thought-provoking work for older children, helping to nurture a lifelong love of theatre. On stage, on screen, on tour, in schools and in the community, Little Angel Theatre aims to inspire through bold and innovative productions.
Highlights of the new season include:
● The London premiere of Toto the Ninja Cat and the Great Snake Escape (for everyone over 5), a brand new musical based on Dermot O’Leary’s best-selling children’s book, adapted by Olivier nominated duo Samantha Lane and Barb Jungr (‘The Smartest Giant in Town’ and ‘Charlie Cook’s Favourite Book’) is at Little Angel Theatre 16 May - 19 July as part of a UK tour.
● Ian Nicholson and Sam Wilde’s brilliantly inventive I Want My Hat Back (ages 3-6), based on the popular books by Jon Klassen will run at Little Angel Studios from5 February - 9 May
● Little Angel Artistic Director Samantha Lane’s joyful adaptation of The Flying Bath (ages 2-5), based on the book by Julia Donaldson, will run at Little Angel Theatre from 2 May - 12 July.
● Heartwarming tale The Everywhere Bear (ages 3-8) based on the book by Julia Donaldson and Rebecca Cobb runs at Little Angel Theatre from 7 February - 19 April.
● Little Angel on the road sees the celebrated stage adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s joyful classic ‘A Squash and a Squeeze’ (ages 3 – 8) tour the UK from 26 February - 21 March.
