The London Festival of Architecture (LFA) returns for a month-long celebration of architecture and city-making, 1 June – 30 June 2026. With activity happening across London, the Festival will once again act as a vehicle for change by making discussions around architecture more accessible, testing new ideas, and promoting emerging talent, all with the aim of creating a greener, healthier, and more equitable city.

Now in its twentieth year and with hundreds of events on its register, this year's LFA iteration, themed around the notion of 'Belonging', (a theme that addresses how people connect with places, communities, and the built environment), promises to be bigger and better than ever. Some 100+ workshops, 100+ tours, 80+ exhibitions and installations, 70+ talks, and 10+ performances are all on offer.

A key feature of the festival is its neighbourhood-based structure, with multiple hubs across London hosting localized programs. In 2026, activity is concentrated across 11 major districts, including South Bank and Waterloo, Fitzrovia, Wood Green and Alexandra Palace, the City of London, Royal Victoria, and Wandsworth Town. For the first time, the London Centre serves as the central hub for the London Festival of Architecture 2026, acting as a key anchor for the festival, bringing together a range of activities under one roof.

Highlights Include:-

  • Murray Lecture – a flagship architectural talk
  • Young Voices – creative presentations blending poetry and design
  • Summer Pavilion (“Colour Field”) – a temporary structure made from reclaimed stone
  • Thamesmead Tapestry – a community-driven exhibition exploring local history
  • Lego Challenge – hands-on design activity for all ages
  • Open Studios and Mentoring Sessions with architecture practices

The London Festival of Architecture 2026 is a public conversation about how cities work for people. Through its theme of “Belonging,” the festival invites participants to rethink their relationship with urban spaces and to imagine more inclusive, connected environments. With its program, community focus, and global relevance, LFA 2026 continues to set the benchmark for architecture festivals worldwide.
