The London Mozart Players (LMP) announce a vibrant winter season. From a world premiere at St Martin-in-the-Fields to two festive Christmas Brass concerts, the orchestra continues to bring world-class music to audiences.

On Friday 21 November, London Mozart Players return to St Martin‑in‑the‑Fields for a programme that pairs Beethoven’s revolutionary Eroica Symphony with the world premiere of Stephen McNeff’s Violin Concerto, written for Fenella Humphreys. Conducted by Jonathan Bloxham, the concert opens with Beethoven’s dramatic Coriolan Overture before Humphreys takes centre stage in McNeff’s new work, which draws on Baroque influences while pushing into bold, contemporary sound worlds. The evening culminates in Eroica, a symphony that redefined the possibilities of orchestral music and remains one of Beethoven’s most radical statements.

December sees London Mozart Players’ brass players step into the spotlight for two festive concerts guaranteed to lift the Christmas spirits. On Monday 8 December at Smith Square Hall, the Christmas Brass Spectacular combines the power of brass with the Croydon SDA Gospel Choir and Tiffin Choirs in a high-energy celebration of seasonal favourites, complete with immersive lighting and audience participation. A week later, on Saturday 13 December, the ensemble brings the same festive spirit to Upper Norwood’s St John the Evangelist.

Both concerts promise a joyful mix of carols, classics, and unexpected twists, the perfect way to begin the Christmas season!
