DANIELLE BRATHWAITE-SHIRLEY THE DELUSION - 30 September 2025 - 18 January 2026

THE DELUSION, the most ambitious project to date by London and Berlin-based British artist and game designer Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley. THE DELUSION will debut a groundbreaking video game commission, a multiplayer immersive experience run on game engines that explores themes of polarisation, censorship and social connection. 

THE DELUSION will combine satire and absurd humour with cooperative gaming and participatory theatre to explore the real-world impacts of societal division.

PETER DOIG HOUSE OF MUSIC - 10 October 2025 – 8 February 2026

Serpentine presents a new project by Peter Doig that explores the role of music, film, and sites of communal gathering, listening and creative exchange within his practice. The exhibition will include new paintings along with sound for the first time. Envisaged as a multi-sensory environment, visitors are invited to pause and linger as they look and listen.  

On Sundays, the space will be activated by Sound Service, a series of live, in-person listening sessions with Nihal El Aasar, Olukemi Lijadu, Ed Ruscha, Samuel Strang and Duval Timothy. Sound Service evenings will invite special guests to share their selected tracks including Dennis Bovell, Lizzi Bougatsos, Brian Eno, Andrew Hale, Linton Kwesi Johnson, and more to be announced.

Live Programme

Davi Pontes and Wallace Ferreira - Repertório N.1 Porchester Hall - 18th and 19th October 2025

Serpentine is delighted to present the world premiere of Repertório N.1, the final piece of a trilogy by Brazilian artists Davi Pontes and Wallace Ferreira. It will be staged at Porchester Hall, in London during Frieze Week 2025 as part of Dance Umbrella, London’s international dance festival, before touring internationally in 2026.

Park nights: Malcolm-x Betts and Nile Harris - Temporary boyfriends 12th & 13th September 2025

Serpentine is delighted to announce this year’s Park Nights with two consecutive performances hosted in the Serpentine Pavilion designed by Marina Tabassum. Temporary Boyfriend will explore the nuanced poetics of Malcolm-x Betts’ and Nile Harris’ longstanding collaboration.
