Shakespeare’s Globe Spring Season

Spring is here and so is a new season full of energy along with a few big wins.

There’s a definite shift in the air with longer days, fresh starts, and plenty of exciting news to share. Shakespeare’s Globe is celebrating a major award for its fantastic, guided tours, extending the amazing Deep Azure until 2 May, and launching an exciting new climate prize for playwrights. Plus, there is a brand-new 10-week course that’s about to land.

The Climate Playwriting Prize

What does climate storytelling look like on stage? Shakespeare’s Globe is teaming up with Climate Spring and Fern Culture to uncover the most exciting, powerful, unproduced plays that respond to the climate and nature crisis in its broadest sense, including environmental, social, and other themes. The winning playwright will receive £15,000, expert dramaturgical support, and the chance to develop their work with our industry partners and us. Submissions open this June

Shakespeare and the Stages of Life

This spring, enrol in a brand-new, ten-week evening course exploring Shakespeare's portrayal of human experiences across different life stage. Places still available – enrol by 31 March.

Mother Courage and Her Children.7 May – 27 June | Tickets from £5 

For 8 weeks only, see Michelle Terry take on the iconic role of Mother Courage in the Globe’s first-ever staging of the revolutionary playwright Brecht, with a bold new production of his anti-war classic Mother Courage and Her Children.
