Sri Lankan Culture Collective

Get ready for a multi-sensory, multi-day festival showcasing Sri Lankan diaspora like never before!

This South Asian Heritage Month, SRI LANKAN CULTURE COLLECTIVE announces its return, with an even more ambitious programme to showcase the music, comedy, food and culture from across the richly diverse and vibrant Sri Lankan diaspora. The first of its kind boutique festival will this year take place across not just one date, but a string of four unmissable dates across the summer during Saturday 26th July to Sunday 7th September, serving up Comedy, Music, Marketplace, Wine pairing, Supper club and a Hopper masterclass. Making his stand-up comedy debut by co-headlining at the SLCC Comedy & Music event on Saturday 26th July at Battersea Arts Centre, is acclaimed broadcaster, presenter, journalist and author Nihal Arthanayake!

Nihal Arthanayake said: "So, instead of buying a motorbike to deal with my mid-life crisis I have decided that I want to be a stand up comedian. And where better to do my debut stand up gig than surrounded by Sri Lankans who will throw piles of kotthu at me if I am rubbish."

SRI LANKAN CULTURE COLLECTIVE is all about creativity, community and collaboration and the programme is unique in its depth and breadth, curated lovingly by the collective of Sri Lankan artisan powerhouse founders:
