The Comedy About Spies

From the multi award-winning company behind The Play That Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery, comes an uproarious 1960’s spy escapade, bursting with bungled missions, tangled identities, and miscommunication that’s anything but covert.

When a rogue British agent pilfers plans for a top-secret weapon, the world's top spies converge on London’s Piccadilly Hotel in pursuit of the elusive file. Add to the mix a clueless young couple, an hapless actor angling for the role of James Bond, and enough double agents to confuse even the sharpest operative, and you've got a mission that’s hilariously out of control.

Do not miss original Mischief company members members Dave Hearn, Chris Leask, Henry Lewis, Charlie Russell, Henry Shields, Greg Tannahill and Nancy Zamit alongside Adele James, who is making her Mischief debut, all creating absolute mayhem in this hilarious production.

The Comedy About Spies is a  fast paced and cleverly staged production that is a must see if you love farcical comedy. Full of genuine belly laughs from start to finish and so very clever, both in script and in execution. Written by the company’s Henry Lewis and Henry Shields, you can’t ever say you don’t know what you’re getting with Mischief, but it’s nothing if not solid mainstream comedy entertainment.

So If you're looking for a fun night out filled with laughter from start to finish, this show comes highly recommended and fans of vintage spy flicks and Mischief’s signature brand of theatrical mayhem will feel right at home.

The Comedy About Spies, is now playing at the Noel Coward Theatre in London until 5 September 2025.
