From VR games, to arcade machines, to Subbuteo, the new Batteries Not Included exhibition reflects on the influence that football toys and games have made on football culture and the professional game itself.

Opening on the 12th of July, the National Football Museums newest instalment is an ode to football toys and games, reflecting on the impact they made on football culture and on the beautiful game itself.

Their Score Gallery exhibition offers an immersive, historical journey that begins in the Victorian age and ends with present day, cutting edge virtual reality technology, unpacking the cultural influences made by each and every decade of advancements, and how these advancements have in turn have changed the professional game.

Most importantly, visitors will have the chance to get their hands on a range of football toys and games. Not limited to kids, even the elders can wind back the years with a game of the classic Subbuteo.

With 17 interactive games and exhibits, some of which are modern reimaginations of classic pastimes, and an impressive range of arcade games, Batteries Not Included is the ultimate exhibit for fans of the beautiful game and all of its games.
