BSMT is one of London’s most respected Urban Art galleries, with an innovative roster of some of the most exciting artists working today. They will be bringing together eleven dynamic artists for an exciting new group show Statement of Intent, which opens at the gallery on October 15, running until October 31, 2021.

The new wave of contemporary street/urban artists chosen are:

  • Internationally acclaimed UK based street artists Snik whose large-scale ethereal portraits can be seen on walls from Hong Kong to Miami.
  • Spanish street artist Musa who began painting graffiti on the streets of Barcelona in the late 80s at a time when the presence of a female Graffiti writer was very rare.
  • World renowned female Argentinian painter and muralist Milu Correch whose large-scale murals can be seen all over Buenos Aires and across the world.
  • Serbian artist and designer Tony Star who started in 2001 as a graffiti bomber and since then he has explored the huge spectrum of the visual world.
  • Renowned Bristol based street artist VOYDER who is a multi-disciplinary artist and self-taught painter with roots in graffiti and later oil painting.
  • Female Scottish based artist KMG who has been creating character-based artqork for over a decade.
  • Dublin based Irish artist Aches Dub who specialises in large scale murals and Graffiti.
  • Internationally recognised Graffiti Artist, DILK, was born in Nottingham in the 70's.
  • Bristol based artist Mr. Penfold, also known as Tim Gresham, is a screen printer, muralist, designer with a distinctive and playful approach to abstract art. 
  • Australian born London based artist Edwin whose work utilises a wide variety of styles and media over a broad range of concepts from highly imaginative figurative spray paint pieces to roller and extinguisher words and tags.
  • London-based Newcastle born street artist Mobstr who creates typographic messages of social commentary placed on walls and billboards in urban spaces.

Co-curated by gallery owner Lara Fiorentino explains “Statement of Intent' is a move from the raw to the polished, a marked occasion for both artists and gallery to emerge from the shock and confusion of the past 18 months to present something direct, progressive and impactful.”
