Escape to King’s Cross with a Summer Daycation!

King’s Cross is kicking off this summer with a jam-packed line-up of unmissable events. From June there will be open-air film screenings, a critically acclaimed live music festival, and a larger-than-life car boot sale, there surely is something for everyone. King’s Cross is the place to be this summer whether you are a foodie, a movie addict, or a culture-seeker. 

From the 1st-4th of July, The Other Art Fair will be taking place which is a leading artist-led fair. This will be London’s first in-person art fair of the year and is not something you want to miss. There are over 100 independent and emerging artists to be showcased over the four-day programme as well as bespoke installations, tattooing and live DJ sets. 

July will see the return of King’s Cross free, a canal-side open-air cinema which will make for the perfect, socially distanced day out. From 1st-25th of July, there will be screenings of feel-good favourites alongside award-winning blockbusters, and even sports screenings for Wimbledon and Tour De France.

On July 10th, Independent Label Market will be returning to Coal Drops Yard. This acclaimed vinyl market will be bringing together the UK’s most exciting record labels with an all-star line-up including 4AD, Bella Union, Brownswood, Erased Tapes and Fire. You will also be able to enjoy live DJ sets from some of the artists and labels. 

The Classic Car Boot Sale will be taking place on the 17th and 18th of July, bringing a festival feel to your summer daycation. This will be a huge celebration of vintage cars, music, art and fashion. This prized event will once again take over Granary Square, Lewis Cubitt Square and Coal Drops Yard, offering an array of classic cars, vintage fashion, homeware and art. There will also be live music and street food vendors for everyone to enjoy. 

The electrifying, open-air live music festival Cubitt Sessions will be inviting visitors to enjoy live performances from artists from around the world from 11th -22nd of August. This outstanding festival will bring together some of the worlds finest classical, folk and Jazz for an event not to be missed.
