FESTIVAL OF HOPE ANNOUNCES ADDITIONS TO YEAR LONG PROGRAMME

Festival of Hope is delighted to announce two new events to its yearlong programme to inspire families and adults to rediscover London as the Capital re-opens.

Wishing Trees (19-27 June)

Did you see the wishing tree? Iconic locations including Battersea Power Station, Kensington Palace, Marble Hill House and Royal Windsor will launch wishing trees. The wishing trees will feature hopes and dreams for the future from listeners of BBC Radio Local stations across the UK, and their uplifting messages will be shared on colourful ribbons and tags.

Children’s Art Competition (running until 9 July)

Over 200 artworks produced by children of all ages across the UK will be on display at The O2, Greenwich. The competition attracted over 500 entries from young people who were given four months from November 2020 to create a special piece of art inspired by all things British.
