Brent 2020, London Borough of Culture presents it's first Brent Biennial, launching art projects for the public to enjoy all across the borough. From 19 September to 13  December, 23 new artist commissions will be presented in various locations across Brent, featuring both international and Brent based artists. The commissions range from sculpture, installation and murals to film and performance; all reflecting Brent’s history, culture and the people who have shaped the borough.

A highlight of the programme includes a 9-metre high mural titled George Michael TV Outside, created by British artist Dawn Mellor, to celebrate the life of Brent’s local hero George Michael.

Another must-see project is In Loving Memory, a memorial for the Brent victims of Covid-19 at Kilburn Library. Artist, Ruth Beale, has selected 491 books, one for every person who has died from Covid.
