Sunday 12th December - Hallé Christmas Family Concert: Bash and the Missing Merry Melody

Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd - The Snowman & Hairy Maclary

Thursday 30th December - The Magical Music of Harry Potter

Why not treat a friend or family member to the gift of live music this Christmas?

In the Hallé Christmas Family Concert: Bash and the Missing Merry Melody, children must go on a quest with Bash, Santa’s chief elf to find the ‘merry melody’ that Santa uses to create his Christmas magic. No melody, no toys! The concert will be conducted by Delyana Lazarova, presented by Lucy Tuck and will include themes from the films Elf and E.T., Trepak from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, Sleigh Ride and many more!

Join the Hallé, conductor Ben Palmer and presenter Tom Redmond to enjoy Howard Blake’s magical score to The Snowman alongside the classic live film in The Snowman & Hairy Maclary. In the first half, join Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy as he goes ‘out of the gate and off for a walk’!

For older children, the Hallé, conductor Stephen Bell and presenter Jerome Dowling celebrate the story of the world’s most famous wizard in The Magical Music of Harry Potter. Enjoy iconic music from the films, including Hedwig’s Theme, Quidditch, Dobby the House Elf, The Weasley Stomp and Leaving Hogwarts. Cloaks and wands are highly recommended and don’t forget to practice ‘Expecto patronum’ and ‘Expelliarmus!’… just in case.
