What is eco-anxiety and how does the urgent issue of climate change affect young people and their mental health?

Confronted by headlines of extreme weather events and growing concern about the future of our planet, climate change is an issue at the forefront of many young people’s minds. This overwhelming subject can lead to feelings of helplessness, frustration and eco-anxiety.

This interactive event chaired by Nile Henry - founder and CEO of The Blair Project, will bring together a panel that includes Newsround presenter Martin Dougan, activist, environmentalist and founder of Black to Nature Mya Rose-Craig and Caroline Hickman, a Lecturer at University of Bath who is researching Climate Change Psychology, together with our audience for an important discussion about this contemporary subject.

Curated by the Manchester Science Festival Young People Panel, Ella, Mahala, Molly, Nayan, Phoebe and Tom.

Part of Manchester Science Festival.
