LITTLE WOMEN
Step into the world of sisterhood and experience the enduring journey of the March sisters.

Fantastic rehearsal images are in for Anne-Marie Casey’s new stage adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s much loved classic novel Little Women, opening at Salisbury Playhouse from 3 to 13 October. From there, it will visit Poole, Darlington, Chelmsford, Chester, Guildford and Bath. The final performances will take place at Liverpool Playhouse from 4 to 8 November 2025.
Adapted from Alcott’s 19th-century novel, the play follows the lives of the March sisters - tomboy Jo, beautiful Meg, sensitive Beth, and spoilt Amy, as they as they navigate the challenges of the Civil War era, forging unbreakable bonds of love and family. Step into the world of sisterhood, courage, ambition and follow them as they progress into womanhood. Still as relevant today Little Women is a celebration of women proving that women can be heroes of their own story, can be bold, persistent, self-assured to stand strong in who they are, and what they desire for themselves in their present and future.
Reprising her role as Aunt March will be Belinda Lang and she will be joined by TV BAFTA Award winner Juliet Aubrey (All Creatures Great and Small) as Marmee, alongside Natalie Dunne (Locked Up Abroad) as Jo, Tom Richardson (Just Between Ourselves) as Brooke/Bhaer, Jewelle Hutchinson (Stiletto) as Amy, Megan Richards (Wanderlust) as Beth, Jade Oswald (Alfred Hitchcock Presents: The Musical) as Meg, and Perry Williams (Player Kings) as Laurie.
The production is directed by Loveday Ingram, with design by Ruari Murchison, lighting by Mike Robertson, sound and composition by Mathew Bugg, and movement direction by Mike Ashcroft.
Anne-Marie Casey’s masterful new adaptation of the classic story offers a captivating rendition of Little Women that breathes new life into a cherished classic. The nostalgia of the classic book, combined with a beautiful adaptation provides an exciting theatrical experience guaranteed to be a night (or afternoon!) filled with laughter, tears, and a heart-warming lifting of the spirits.
